Feal-Thas went on as though he hadn’t heard. Note all answers will be spoilers from one book or another. By Lilith’s own words they were only the keepers of history “and could not take sides”.
Wasted potential I would say. Feal-Thas, the dark elf mage, is another character I wouldn’t expect to like.

Laurana devises a plan to use Elistan’s magic to help them attack Feal-Thas’s stronghold, Icewall Castle, and the Icefolk agree to help. The knights eventually team up with Flint, Tas, Sturm, Laurana and Giltnanas from the original books. If the Aesthethic were truly neutral then why did they help the knights?
Meanwhile, Laurana and the Companions retrieve the dragon orb and take it back to Solamnia–not knowing that they bring their allies’ doom with them.
