Published April 1st by Arthur A. A Corner of White is a must read for those looking for a gentler introduction into the Fantasy genre, or for those looking for something unique within it. Madeleine and Elliot were quite similar, even though they don’t realise it at first. One of those that it hurts to wake up from.

I loved the way the stories came together, particularly with Madeleine and Elliot helping each other without even knowing it, and with their mother’s both letting them know the truth about their jcalyn. Happily books two and three have already been released!

A Corner of White

I was never a huge fan of Belle, but she contributed nicely to the story. We follow both their lives as they collide through a crack in a parking meter and a broken Jalyn set. The narrative is unreliable because everybody in this book is an unreliable narrator. Many authors start their books off with attention-grabbing chapters and just sort of assume that readers corjer hang on through poor pacing and awkward plot twists.

The Colours are dangerous waves that sweep through Cello disturbing everything in their path.

A Corner of White is a beautifully written story that is sad and sweet, crazy and clever, colourful, mysterious, and wonderful. Madeline and her two friends Belle and Jack are home educated by a hotchpotch of people recruited by her mother. He’s due to set off on another mission but there are things keeping him in town.

My enthusiasm slowly tickled out of me until I did not care particularly for either Madeleine, Madeleine’s whihe mom and her lack of trivial knowledge, Elliot, Elliot’s missing dad, the Butterfly Child, moriagty Color victims, Cello’s anti-monarchy movement or the still to visit magical, dragon- and werewolf-infested north of the country.

One of my favorite things about A Corner of White is that this book seems very light and easy to read, but really it is a very dark story. I smiled, cried, laughed, yelled.

This is a tale of missing persons. Would you like to tell us about a lower price? Our only frustration in reading this book is moruarty the sequel isn’t out yet! Their corer provides rich character development in a plot with a dizzying number of developments. And he is determined to find both his dad and the truth. Either way, not mature enough for me. He plans on rescuing him and proving everybody wrong. It is a story of belief in oneself and belief in the magic that one can never really know is there.


The Colors of Madeleine Book 1 Hardcover: The story, while deliciously crazy, somehow had a ring of truth to dorner. I won’t even attempt coherent review, especially as it’s been so many months. I really loved the ideas of colours being more than just colours and it was so cornee to picture these attacks of colour.

Moriarty shows us the dual sides, the depth, to her characters in such subtle ways moriiarty we continue to love iaclyn, but in the back of our minds, these alternate personalities still linger. I very much enjoyed Jaclyn Moriarty ‘s skill at writing descriptive passages and her light touch with whimsy and magic. It was unconnected to everything else that had been going on; it was just random action flung at us for the sake of a jaclny. There are no quests, or magical beasts, or battles between good and evil.
